In order to maintain the freshness and quality of our products without using artificial preservatives, the Bear Naked™ packaging is made from a multi-layered film that unfortunately cannot be recycled. While we continue to work on innovative ways to make our packaging recyclable, we are kicking off the Bear Naked™ Sustainable Packaging Project. This project is designed to help reduce the number of bags that end up in landfills by collecting them from you and repurposing them into unique accessories and ‘upcycled’ products like umbrellas, shower curtains, and tote bags. What better way to continue spreading the Bear Naked™ love?   Now here’s where you come in. See below for two ways that you can help us help Mother Earth. Every time you Get Bear Naked™, save your empty bags and participate in one of the programs.   Next time you Get Bear Naked™, remember to Save the Bag.     Through our partnership with eco-friendly innovator TerraCycle™, you or your organization can sign up to open a brigade to collect your empty Bear Naked™ bags and send them to TerraCycle™. Each brigade will collect empty Bear Naked™ bags that TerraCycle™ will 'upcycle' into innovative new products and accessories. The best part is that for every bag you or your organization collects, $.02 cents will be donated to a non-profit organization or school of your choice. Click here for more details on TerraCycle™ and to find out how to participate!     If you are just sending in a couple of bags or you would like to sport Bear Naked™ Gear in exchange for your efforts, you can participate in our Save the Bag, Get the Gear program. Each Bear Naked™ bag you save and mail in is worth a certain number of points depending on size, and you can use those points to get gear items like T-shirts and reusable grocery bags. Just download the Save the Bag, Get the Gear Offer Form (PDF), print it out, fill it out and send it in with your empty bags. We will then send the bags to TerraCycle™ to upcycle. It's that simple.
