‘Upcycling’ with TerraCycle: Turning Granola into Goods
In order to reduce the number of packages in landfills, Bear Naked joins forces with TerraCycle™ to create the “Bear Naked Brigade,” a loyalty program where fans of Bear Naked send their used granola bags to TerraCycle to be “upcycled” into affordable, environmentally conscious products. With every bag collected Bear Naked and TerraCycle donate two cents to a charity or school of the brigade’s choice. Now that’s one way to conquer the three Rs at once – reduce, reuse and recycle! We hit the streets of San Francisco, Boston, Seattle and Denver. The Bear Naked Adventure Tour brings samples, smiles and more to residents in these cities. Found at grocery stores and races, Bear Naked’s ambassadors tour the city streets and beyond over the summer to encourage people to Get Bear Naked!™ Or put another way, un-process, simplify and enjoy both your food and your life.

It’s All Granola and Games for Bear Naked
As part of Bear Naked’s efforts to support active lifestyles and environmental education, Bear Naked becomes an official sponsor of the annual Teva Mountain Games, the nation’s largest gathering of mountain sports and outdoor athletic competitions, in Vail, Colo. There, Bear Naked fuels top athletes, adventurers and spectators with the best of Bear Naked’s foods. Bear Naked Trail Day is later held at the 2009 and 2010 Teva Mountain Games as an effort to clean up mountain trails and encourage environmental education.

Passion is plentiful at Bear Naked. Team Bear Naked is a result of that dedication and allows us to support 110 runner and triathletes who excel at their sport. This closely-knit band of adventurers are not only dedicated to representing Bear Naked through their athletic achievements, but also act as brand ambassadors in 11 cities from coast to coast.
