Rapid Growth
The first five months of 2005 bring the fastest growth the company has yet experienced. To help support the growth, the company adds five of its signature Bear Naked vans to hit the streets and spread the Bear Naked word on the road. Brendan and Kelly hire a Vice President of Manufacturing to handle the added manufacturing challenges that come with increased demand from consumers and retailers. He takes production from 5,000 lbs. per day to over 20,000 lbs. per day while Kelly ensures that the product maintains its award-winning quality. Bear Naked continues to focus on building its sales team.
July 2005
Building Success
Bear Naked now has wide distribution in over 10,000 retail stores, including heavy weights like Costco and Kroger. Brendan and Kelly begin developing formulas for new breakthrough breakfast products. In addition to developing new formulas, Brendan decides to create a whole new look for the Bear Naked brand and hires a Creative Director to help him.
That summer, industry data reveal Bear Naked has the #1 and #2 granola products in the nation.
September 2005
Moving Up and Out
Bear Naked products can be found at retailers nationwide. Brendan and Kelly are enjoying their success and can't help but smile when they see Bear Naked on shelves. After years of hard work, they are finally getting a salary and have managed to move out of their parents' homes and into their own apartments.
