2009 was Seattle’s inaugural Swim Across America, and in the history of Swim Across America it was one of the most successful inaugural events ever. For year two we are expecting the same, if not better. So grab your suit and a buddy and lets get wet! As all Swim Across America’s the proceeds are going to a great cause, this time it’s Seattle’s Cancer Care Alliance.
The fun starts at 6 am with registration, 7 am an awesome group photo, and 8 we get in the water for a two-mile swim. When you arrive back on dry land at Luther Burbank beach on Mercer Island you will be treated to a hot breakfast and some delicious Bear Naked goodies. We have special goodies for people who sign up for The Den or become Facebook friends with Bear Naked the event! Whoot! Whoot!

United Way Day of Caring is your chance to make a lasting impact in our community. Be a part of this fun day of community service by volunteering to improve local schools, nonprofits and parks in King County.
We are going to be in Mt. Baker Park with Cascade Land Conservancy cleaning up trails and enjoying Bear Naked Granola. Come and join!

Checking the Westlake Whole Foods off our list, we have now officially visited every Whole Foods in Seattle proper! Congratulations to us. In celebration of this amazing feat we are going to be giving the first nine people who congratulate us – while at the before mentioned location – with an entire bag of Bear Naked Granola of their choosing! How sweet is that? We do all the work, you get all the reward! And of course everyone will receive a delicious freshly made parfait. mmmm mmmm gooood!

While grunge may be gone, rock and roll is still pushing bodies and minds to the extreme in Seattle! This past weekend the second annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon took over the city. Encouraged by 45 live bands, the sun, and countless cheerleaders 27,000 plus people participated in either the 1/2 or full marathon from Tukwilla to Qwest Event Center.
Prior to this test of physical stamina Seattle Bear Naked Crew had our own endurance challenge; how many granola parfaits could we sample over a two day period? In 17 hours we produced and distributed roughly 14,000 fresh and delicious Bear Naked parfaits and countless Grain-ola Bar samples. In the world of music that’s a Golden Record.

 Come out and sample Bear Naked at the Livestrong Challenge at Seattle Center from 6am-3pm. Its the first time for this great fundraiser for Cancer victims to be in Seattle. As a graduate of Washington State University, I went against my nature and ventured into my rival’s territory( University of Washington) and did a demo at the QFC in University Village. The weather was fantastic so we decided to do the demo outside. The samples were a big hit and the store even had Bear Naked on sale, which was a nice added bonus.
