Washington Park is one of the largest parks in Denver that features several trails, tennis courts, croquet fields, volleyball fields, playgrounds and beautiful gardens. Because of it’s central location, it is a hot spot for locals to get out and play in the Denver sun. And for that, we enjoyed watching a giant field filled with volleyball enthusiasts training for Sunday’s big tournament. Many were barbecuing, grubbin’ down, and overall enjoying the sun. We threw them some granola of which seemed to make their day. Enjoy that holiday weekend with some of our Bear Naked granola!
We also made the highlight picture of the tour with our new friend seriously chowing down on some Fruit and Nut.

On June 27th, we attended the infamous Double Dipsea race. The course begins at beautiful Stinson Beach, runs through the Dipsea course to Mill Valley, CA and then back to Stinson Beach. It was a gorgeous day with the weather around 85 degrees and sunny.

The Garden of the Gods park is a beautiful park attracting many outdoor individuals. Activities range from hiking and horseback riding to intense rock climbing. You’ll understand once you see some pictures.
We were graciously invited to the Garden of the Gods which had a huge turnout! Long lines formed at our booth of which many racers and spectators had the opportunity to grab one of our handmade parfaits. We handed out some shirts and reusable bags, of which the crowd went nuts for! In the end, they were all smiles and very grateful that we were there. We had a great time supporting you runners during your hilly 10 mile. Congrats to the winners; we hope you loved our granola
We intend to come to Colorado Springs again!

People love Bear Naked Granola, especially when offered a free sample at the conclusion of a 5K race! That being said, its tough to compete with free beer…as the attached photo shows…(beer line is the line on the left). The good news is that most people did stop by for a Granola Parfait after they grabbed a cold one, and many were surprised at how good the (Heavenly Chocolate) granola complemented the Smutty Nose brew.

It was an awesome week in the North East! The weather has been a little up and down, but the athletes out here are truly astounding and kept running and riding through the rain and cold- blowing us away with their perseverance! It was the least we could do to be there at the finish line to hand out some Bear Naked Granola and yogurt parfaits, with yummy blackberries to top it off!
We started the week by heading over to MetroRock – an evening each at their Newburyport and Everett locations. What a blast! One climber commented that our parfaits were “good power-fuel!” to keep him going during his climb, and he liked them so much he tried 3 different flavors! Great gym, good people, and good vibes!
We spent an evening out at Boston Sports and Ski Club’s Basketball League and the next morning got up early for Mayor Menino’s Bay State Bike Week Festival! It was wonderful to be out supporting bikers as they finished their ride in to work, and they were all quite happy to have a granola breakfast!
On Sunday Jim and I split up and each went to an exciting community event! Jim went out to Stafford, CT’s Soapstone Mountain Trail Run and I went down to the Charles River Wheelmen’s Spring Century Ride! The cold (in CT) and pouring rain (in MA) couldn’t stop these dedicated athletes! Good times (and granola!) were had by all!
