The Fat Tire Triathlon is a 1/2 mile swim in the clear waters of Horsetooth Reservoir (Eltuk Bay), followed by a 12 mile single-track bike over rolling terrain and across valley bridges through Lory State Park, finishing with a fun and challenging 4.8 mile (8k) run on dirt trails!
Watching these athletes chow on our parfaits made me realize just how many calories these guys burn off. We had one guy munch on our granola parfaits 6 times. Hungry triathletes + limited granola supply = no more granola. These guys ate us dry. We were psyched that everybody got to sample and left with not only a grin about the tri, but a nice, granola-splashed smile.

Talk about getting dirty. After this silly duathlon had been completed, we were greeted by Charlie Chapmans, Talking Bananas, French Maids, and Ninjas to name a few of the many characters that tried our parfaits. As we brought only a limited supply of reusable bags, we had created a huge buzz about both the parfaits and our baggies. People were willing to trade certain articles of clothing for a bag and even a pair of muddy shoes. This race was a ton of fun and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Everybody from little tikes to grandparents were running and cycling together in this amusing race to the finish line.

The Garden of the Gods park is a beautiful park attracting many outdoor individuals. Activities range from hiking and horseback riding to intense rock climbing. You’ll understand once you see some pictures.
We were graciously invited to the Garden of the Gods which had a huge turnout! Long lines formed at our booth of which many racers and spectators had the opportunity to grab one of our handmade parfaits. We handed out some shirts and reusable bags, of which the crowd went nuts for! In the end, they were all smiles and very grateful that we were there. We had a great time supporting you runners during your hilly 10 mile. Congrats to the winners; we hope you loved our granola
We intend to come to Colorado Springs again!

The TEVA Mtn Games rocked our world! Events that are common to the Mtn games: racing, slopestyle, dockdogs, mud run, bouldering, music, food, kayaking, parkour, bike stunts, etc, etc, etc. This event was no joke. Not only were the people rooting for their companions of all sports and culture, the people were rooting for Bear Naked. The people of Vail have spoken; they are voraciously craving granola and we gave it to them…literally all of it.
Dogs were jumping 22+ feet into the water, bikers were stunting backflip tailwhips across 25 foot gaps, climbers were performing dynos vertically, cyclists were bombing their course, kayakers were throwing down flips, and runners were hightailing it through the trenches of mud. TEVA Mtn Games = pure sport chaos. Thank goodness we could provide all these athletes and spectators with the most tastiest form of carbohydrates: granola parfaits!!!
