Diablo Rock Gym is a full-service facility with all the amenities. It has superb climbing terrain including plenty of moderate and beginner terrain, too, and an excellent bouldering area. There’s a wide array of cardio machines, free weights, and weight machines along with two program rooms for indoor cycling, yoga, and many more classes.
Bear Naked sampled parfaits to outdoor/indoor climbers at Diablo. We also met the world’s fastest climber Hans Florine (see first pic below, on far right) who was teaching a class that evening. He holds the Speed Climb World Record for climbing The Nose of Yosemite’s El Capitan in 2:37:05 on Oct 12, 2008. He LOVES the mango agave almond and wants to become a Bear Naked sponsored athlete! Check out his accomplishments at http://www.speedclimb.com/.

Whew! What a week! Monday was Memorial Day so we went out to Christopher’s Walk to support this great event that raises funds for diabetes research! Mid-week we had a fun night with our friends over at MetroRock rock gym! The Heavenly Chocolate and Mango Agave Almond granolas were huge hits!
Friday morning we got up early and went out to City Hall Plaza to serve granola parfaits to the hungry bikers who had rode their bike in to work at Bike Friday! Later that day we went down to the Hatch Shell to set up for Earthfest- which is where we were at all day on Saturday! To learn more about our experience there check out my Earthfest post!
Sunday Jim and I split up because there were 2 great events in the area and we didn’t want to miss either of them! Jim went up to the Tour de Cure bike ride in Gloucester, MA, a cycling event supporting the American Diabetes Association. I went out to Framingham,MA to support the runners and walkers at the Police Road Race benefiting PanCan and Pancreatic Cancer research! It was an amazing day- at the end of a truly amazing week, with lots of granola love!

It was an awesome week in the North East! The weather has been a little up and down, but the athletes out here are truly astounding and kept running and riding through the rain and cold- blowing us away with their perseverance! It was the least we could do to be there at the finish line to hand out some Bear Naked Granola and yogurt parfaits, with yummy blackberries to top it off!
We started the week by heading over to MetroRock – an evening each at their Newburyport and Everett locations. What a blast! One climber commented that our parfaits were “good power-fuel!” to keep him going during his climb, and he liked them so much he tried 3 different flavors! Great gym, good people, and good vibes!
We spent an evening out at Boston Sports and Ski Club’s Basketball League and the next morning got up early for Mayor Menino’s Bay State Bike Week Festival! It was wonderful to be out supporting bikers as they finished their ride in to work, and they were all quite happy to have a granola breakfast!
On Sunday Jim and I split up and each went to an exciting community event! Jim went out to Stafford, CT’s Soapstone Mountain Trail Run and I went down to the Charles River Wheelmen’s Spring Century Ride! The cold (in CT) and pouring rain (in MA) couldn’t stop these dedicated athletes! Good times (and granola!) were had by all!

One of San Francisco’s newest and most popular climbing gyms. They also offer a yoga program and full-service fitness facility. Its prime location in the “Glass Palace” on Crissy Field provides stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay. Bear Naked was the sole concessionary sponsor at the second round in PG’s rope competition called the “Friction Series”.
