This weekend we went out to Cape Cod to support the participants of the Hyannis Sprint Triathlon! Friday for registration was a gorgeous day out on Craigville Beach! We were excited to be there to hand out yummy Bear Naked granola and yogurt parfaits as well as samples of our grainola bars! Race day started out great and then later in the morning the wind picked up powerfully and we were doing all we could just to keep our tent and even the bowls of granola from blowing away!
Sunday we spent the day out in North Haven, CT at the Tour de Cure ride for diabetes! The rain held off and riders left in waves for their 100k, 50k, 25k, or 12k rides! The local fire department came out and set up a mist spray for tired riders to coast through as they finished their rides! This awesome event ended with live music, a catered lunch, and of course Bear Naked granola snacks!

Hey Guys!
This is LJ and I’m so happy to be back for another rockin’ summer on the Boston/New England Bear Naked Tour! I’m joined this year by my new partner in crime- Jon! We’ve just finished up our first week of events and boy was it a fun start!
We kicked off the summer at the Framingham PanCan Road Race- a 5k sponsored by the Framingham Police Dept benefiting pancreatic cancer research. We had a blast last year and were excited to come back this year! We had a fun little surprise this year as the new Jillian Michael’s show “Losing it with Jillian” was on site filming an episode! Was neat to watch the process of filming, and we had a blast handing out Bear Naked samples to all of the race participants!
This week we demo’d at a few Stop and Shops which we will be doing throughout the Boston metro area over the summer- check out our upcoming calendar to see if we’ll be visiting a store near you!
We wrapped up the week with a trip out to Cape Cod to support Firm Racing’s US CoastGuard MWR Duathlon! The participants valiantly battled a very windy day throughout their 2 mile run- 12 mile bike ride- 2 mile run! We were happy we could be there to support the racers with Bear Naked granola parfaits and tastes of our new Grainola bars!
We are off to a great start and we look forward to all of the amazing events we will be bringing the Bear Naked bandwagon out to this summer!

The Davis Criterium is a bike race that’s held on the streets of Davis, CA on the forth of July. A Criterium is a type of bike race where racers ride around looped course (in this case a .7 mile L shaped) at very fast speeds. Commonly called “the bicycle equivalent of the Indy 500” Crit’s have gained a lot of popularity around the country and have been labeled a fantastic spectator sport.

Whew! What a week! Monday was Memorial Day so we went out to Christopher’s Walk to support this great event that raises funds for diabetes research! Mid-week we had a fun night with our friends over at MetroRock rock gym! The Heavenly Chocolate and Mango Agave Almond granolas were huge hits!
Friday morning we got up early and went out to City Hall Plaza to serve granola parfaits to the hungry bikers who had rode their bike in to work at Bike Friday! Later that day we went down to the Hatch Shell to set up for Earthfest- which is where we were at all day on Saturday! To learn more about our experience there check out my Earthfest post!
Sunday Jim and I split up because there were 2 great events in the area and we didn’t want to miss either of them! Jim went up to the Tour de Cure bike ride in Gloucester, MA, a cycling event supporting the American Diabetes Association. I went out to Framingham,MA to support the runners and walkers at the Police Road Race benefiting PanCan and Pancreatic Cancer research! It was an amazing day- at the end of a truly amazing week, with lots of granola love!

We are heading down town Boston to City Hall Plaza to support Mayor Menino’s Bay State Bike Week Festival! A great way to encourage biking to work, bicyclists will meet in throughout metro Boston and ride in convoys (with Police escort and new friends!), and meet up at City Hall Plaza for a free breakfast, bike expo and music! Be sure to stop by for you free Bear Naked Granola parfait!
