This week we went up to Salem, MA for the Witches Cup on Wednesday and to Beverly, MA for the Beverly Grand Prix on Thursday! Both of these Bike races were awesome events with a great crew of participants, tons of fans to cheer them on, and lots of love for the Bear Naked granola parfaits we were handing out.
We met a guy who had just got back from a trip to Mexico and had a sketch of an Agave plant (one of the key ingredients in our Mango Agave Almond flavored granola!). A group of the bikers were participants in both events and had a trip to the Cape planned for the weekend for a multi-day bike tour- now thats living Bear Naked!

We were out on the Cape for the weekend to support the runners of the Falmouth Road Race and the attendees of the Naukabout Music Festival! Naukabout is a clothing brand and a term that means “to relax and enjoy life’s best experiences”- which is what the music festival is all about! The concert vibed very well with the Live Bear Naked culture and everyone loved the Bear Naked granola and yogurt parfaits we were giving away!
The festival goers spent the afternoon chilling in the grass, listening to music, playing games (frisbee, hula hoop, and bean bag toss are a few that come to mind), and of course grabbing a snack when they were hungry! Our tent was located right next to the side stage which was a pretty perfect spot to hear some great tunes and share the granola love with the crowds that gathered for each artist.
We met some pretty neat people including some guys doing yoga on top of a rope tied between 2 trees! One of these yogis was hungry so he grabbed a parfait and jumped back on the rope and did some poses while eating his Bear Naked!!
One of the highlights of the day was taking Bear Naked parfaits back into the ‘artists only’ area and serving granola to the bands! We even got to walk out on to the stage and serve parfaits to the Ryan Montbleau Band while they were setting up! The drummer later told us “your parfaits saved my life! I had 2 right before we played our set- I think I would have passed out otherwise!”
We’re so glad we could be there to provide Bear Naked snacks to Rusted Root, the Ryan Montbleau Band, Emily Elbert, all the other artists, and the awesome crowd who made the Naukabout Music Festival such a great day!

This weekend was amazing! We went out to Cape Cod for the Falmouth Road Race and the Naukabout Festival! There were over 10,000 runners at the Road Race and they swarm the little town of Falmouth for 3 days!
We were at the Expo on Saturday to give the runners a Bear Naked granola parfait after they picked up their numbers and wandered around the tons of cool booths! Sunday was an absolute blast while we went out to support the runners and their fans at the Road Race! The morning started off with a flag raising, band, and even a fly over! One runner said “you guys win the award for the best food at the Road Race!”- and we were happy to be there!
After his run, Bear Naked athlete Scott Ray stopped by for a parfait so we got to meet him as well! We met thousands of cool runners and volunteers, the sun was shining bright, and it was a pretty perfect day to be Living Bear Naked!

Aaron, Chris and Hayden as we get to the top of the trail with all of our sampling gear on our backs.
The view from the top. You can see Rattlesnake Lake below. All of these valleys were carved out by glaciers during the last ice age. As a result, there are tons of really shallow mountain lakes and dotting the system of u-shaped valleys among the Cascade Mountains.
Our tablecloth didn't hang properly because there was a giant real rock in the way. It seemed fitting, so we left the table there. Plus, if we would have moved back any farther, we would have probably fallen off the cliff.
Things to note in this photo: Chris is still really hot and tired. He didn't want to put a shirt on - he is becoming something of a nudist (all speedos all the time), we have uncrushed fresh blueberries, ice cold yogurt, and yes, we never let up with the meticulous cleanliness; Clorox wipes.
Ready! And beautiful. We had to lay the bags of Bear Naked down because the wind kept blowing them off the table.
When we got all set-up, there were around 50 hikers sitting around the top of the rock, taking in the view. I went around to all of them and invited them to come get a parfait. Everyone thanked me, but almost no one took me up on the offer. I though that they were scared of falling off. Later my girlfriend, who was sitting in the middle of the rock area, told me that almost everyone was just scared that we were going to fall off the edge and die. I guess they didn't want to be an accessory to the disaster. It didn't look scary from behind the table, but when I climbed down the cliff a bit to get this picture, I could see where they were coming from. There is about 800 more feet of drop-off, not shown in the picture.
The team (from left to right): Aaron, Chris, Hayden (soon to be referred to exclusively as "Haymaker").
We REALLY wanted to run back down the mountain and jump in the lake. It was HOT at the top. So hot in fact, that Chris and Hayden had a serious 10 minute long conversation about the possibility of turning one of our backpacks into a wing suit and flying down to the lake below.Chris and Haymaker hard at work.
Haymaker trying to look natural while kneeling so that he fits in the picture. He's pullin it off.
Second location. We moved here due to hiker fear of the edge. After we moved here, we were busy the whole time! Who would have ever thought that there would be a line at a free granola stand on top of a mountain? I love it! The best part of the day came about 2 hours into our sampling efforts. Hikers often talk to each other when they pass by one another on the trail. Apparently, some of the descending hikers were excitedly telling ascending hikers, (perhaps for a bit of extra encouragement), that we were making parfaits with cold yogurt, Bear Naked Granola and FRESH BLUEBERRIES on top. Everyone obviously thought that they were lying until they emerged from the trail and saw our orange table. People were seriously so shocked that they would just stop and laugh. Everyone loved it. Then they would ask, "So, what other trails can we find you at?"
Besides the view, there is a large fissure in the rock at the top of the ridge. The rest of the pictures are just us playing in the fissure. We were having so much fun, and laughing so hard, that for the first 30 minutes of our hike down, everyone we passed (people heading up) told us they knew that they were close because they could hear us cheering. You forget that if you belly laugh on top of a mountain, people hear you!
Chris being a bear. He passes.
 Cliffhanger! Who invited Sylvester Stallone?
Chris' butt got stuck as he tried to shimmy though a crevasse. You can see his feet kicking with giggly panic. He eventually made it out and we played in the lake. It was a great day.
