The run is on and Bear Naked will be camped out at ‘The Giant Race’ Expo in Lot A next to the Giant’s Stadium all weekend. We’re offering up yummy granola-yogurt parfaits, all kinds of samples, $1 off coupons and re-usable grocery bags to runners and spectators alike. We drove and drove up the winding, bumpy path and somehow found ourselves at the top of a beautiful series of rolling hills in Fairfax, CA. Bear Naked set up shop underneath a patch of tall trees and handed out tasty granola-berry-organic yogurt parfaits to waves of muddy, sweat-stained riders who braved massive ‘heffers’, a.k.a thigh-burning hills, at the Tamaracho Dirt Classic.
From kids to pros, the racers were all champs and definitely earned their granola treats after pedaling their mountain bikes up and through the beautiful, challenging course. Long-time fans and Bear Naked newbies chowed down on the Peak Protein, gearing up for the race and re-building themselves in the hot Sunday sun.

The See Jane Run half-marathon and 5K was stellar– tons of super excited ladies (Janes) and gents (Jacks) cruised around the island at rapid pace. Bear Naked was there to refill bellies and spirits with Maple Pecan, Fruit and Nut, Triple Berry and Peak Protein granola and the crowds were quite pumped to receive such a delicious treat.
The sun rose and the temperature with it– what a beautiful day in Crab Cove, Alameda. The 5,000+ racers showed an incredible amount of strength and Bear Naked was proud to pop up a tent on location. It was San Francisco’s first major event and a whole crew of team members showed up to lend a scooping hand: Eric, Tony, Tina, Cathy and Varian were incredible and passed out an alarming amount of all-natural product, topped with organic yogurt, organic blueberries and even reusable shopping bags!

Bear Naked is driving North to hit up the Marin Bike Fest Sunday, with our sights set on the Tamarancho Dirt Classic--the only West Coast USA Cycling/NORBA Alison Dunlap Junior Mountain Bike Series event for 2010. This is a junior development skills and points program, with an eventual path for some to the Olympics.
Proceeds will go to BTC Marin and Access4Bikes for trail maintenance, creation and advocacy throughout Marin.
Cover your parfait when the bikes fly past– and if a little dirt makes its way into your granola, pretend it’s good for your teeth.

Chocolate, champagne, massages and Bear Naked Granola– Oh My, talk about pampering. We’re heading over to the See Jane Run Women’s Half Marathon and 5k this Saturday with lots of samples and good energy. Come support the daring racers fleeting across the beautiful island of Alameda and cheers with a Bear Naked parfait.

I’m a Minneapolis transplant falling more in love with the Bay Area every day. I spend my free time scouting out tree covered trails, taking my chihuahua to new city parks, sweating hard in yoga, biking everywhere on my wonderful single-speed and writing, writing, writing. For the past four years I’ve been working as a freelance journalist, so l like to think I have a knack for finding fresh places for fun and unique characters.  Lobsters can't wait to get their claws on Bear Naked! The 2010 Bear Naked tour is officially on and teams from Denver, Seattle and Boston met up over the weekend in San Francisco at Bay to Breakers for a crazy kick-start to this year’s adventures. The annual 12K footrace starts out strong with a batch of serious runners and keeps rollin’ all Sunday with crazy crowds of costumed party animals.
Bay to Breakers is a May-time Mardi Gras/Halloween fest and Bear Naked was there to see everything from joggers in Santa suits and Lady Gaga fashions to brave bodies in swim suits and “birthday” suits!
 The patient crowd waits for their granola surprise The granola moved fast and everyone was pumped to try out Bear Naked’s newest flavor, Maple Pecan. Add a little vanilla yogurt, fresh strawberries and blueberries and the streets were loaded with people hungry for some parfait rejuvenation.
 Remember Goldilocks-- cups and spoons are compostable! 
There’s never a dull moments at a San Francisco festival and the Bear Naked crew was proud to be a part of the madness.
