Hey Boston Bikers- Come join the ride!

This weekend is the Pan Mass Challenge! The PMC is a 2 day bike ride from Sturbridge, MA to Provincetown on the tip of Cape Cod!  This bike-a-thon raises funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund (>$270 MILLION since the rides inception in 1980)!  We will be there serving breakfast Saturday in Sturbridge and Sunday in Bourne (3:30AM-6:30AM) – so if your riding or a volunteer stop by our orange tent for a yummy granola and yogurt parfait or try a bowl of our Bear Naked cereal!  There will also be BN snack packs at the water stops throughout the ride to fuel you through the days!

This past week took us on a long journey that went from Bike Friday in Boston to Lowell Music Series – Indigo girls to Newburyport for Yankee Homecoming week. a total of 12 events that have some very interesting story’s to go along with them, so sit back take your shoes off grab your bag of granola and follow me on this journey….

Yankee Homecoming started Sunday July 25th and went till August 1st. the first few days went well but as the week went along we were visited by some very interesting people ….

IMG_2407.JPGAnd of course we had to Bear Naked him a bitIMG_2408.JPG

Friday we had Three events that we had to manage one being Bike Friday where we were introduced to a very interesting Bike that not only could you peddle but you could also take off like a rocket and reach speeds of up to 20 Mph without even moving your legs, so running on no sleep at this point LJ and i had to give it a try

If you are still following along with this journey and haven’t fallen off the ride we have reached the climax of our week that ended with Fireworks and a Parade ( which we actually thought was for us alone! then we woke up and realized it wasn’t) One can dream right?

Now comes the main attraction to the Parade which ended with the Bear Naked Granola Mobile throwing out lovely Bear Naked treats to granola loving people along the parade route ( that may or may not have  hit a few kids, baby’s, dogs, cats,  birds, and squirrels while they were being showered in bags of Granola goodness) Note to self ( Granola Bars can be used as a weapon if not used properly)
