Monday night was the inaugural Patagonia / Adventure Films First Monday Film Festival. If you missed it, your bad, but guess what? It’s happening again in four short weeks. Patagonia Seattle closed their doors at six and transformed First and Lenora into an AMC, full of plush couches (two) and tasty Bear Naked snacks (tons).
Doors opened at 6:45 and by 7 most seats were filled; as were stomachs with amazing Bear Naked Parfaits and / or brand spankin’ new Granola Bars. One lady was so excited she brought her own yogurt.
Tonight’s feature was about Hari Rai, a 17 year old student who lives in the Himalayas and supports himself working as a porter. The film focuses on his life, ambitions, culture, and the journey he has with an 80kg refrigerator he carries on his back for four days. Intrigued? I’ll bet three Tropical Fruit Granola Bars that say you can find Journey of a Red Fridge at Scarecrow.
If that isn’t enough to get you to the next Adventure Film Festival, which is free BTW, then how about some sweet door prizes from Patagonia and Bear Naked? Multiple people walked away with awesome Patagonia gear and one lucky young gun got a bag of Fruit & Nut.
Mark your calendars for Monday, July 5th @ 7pm. I don’t know what film it is going to be, but l can guarantee it’s going to be good.
