All I can say is WOW (and HABANERO)! Having never been to Wildflower, I just didn’t know what to expect. Camping in the wild for 4 days? Forecast of rain/cold throughout the weekend? Yowzas–I was in for a trip! In the end, this was the BEST experience I could have ever imagined…
Our crew of amazing leaders including Shelley, Sarah, Ken and Chris, set exemplary standards for the rest of the tour. All 8 of the Bear Naked Tour market managers had the extraordinary opportunity of meeting one another, working together and making the Wildflower kickoff event to a HUGE SUCCESS! This year there were 5,606 finishers (~7,800 registered) plus plethora spectators and volunteers (go CAL POLY)!
Bear Naked had a booth strategically placed at the Expo Fri, Sat and Sun. The first day was a little soggy but we had no problem distributing almost 3000 parfaits to Expo attendees. The rest of the weekend really proved why Wildflower is the BEST triathlon nationally and internationally. The temp hovered at 60-70 degrees both Sat and Sun and lifted our spirits along with the athletes. At our booth in the finishers’ area, we served race participants the most refreshing and energizing Bear Naked granola parfaits mixed with organic vanilla yogurt and locally grown blueberries. The finishers were most appreciative and several came back for seconds and thirds!
I am really PROUD and EXCITED to be a part of the Bear Naked family and bringing great product to my local community in the Bay Area. Thanks to EVERYONE on the team and TriCal for this AMAZING experience!!!!
