The Real Food Co. is a popular local grocery retailer in the SF market.  They have 2 locations in hip neighborhoods–Bear Naked sampled parfaits during evening peak hours at the Polk Street store in Russian Hill.

Typically sampling vendors receive placement in the back of the store where they get little attention. Our table was primely positioned at the front of the store where we caught people on their way in and again on their way out!
